Decos Audiometer Workstation
“Decos Audiology Workstation” is a PC-based audiometer, available for clinical and diagnostic measuring. The software is developed with extreme open technology and modular set-up, creating a user friendly structure that can be programmed to suit your specific needs. The DAW system also has numerous options for integration and links. This makes Decos Audiology Workstation the most flexible audiometer to integrate seamlessly into your current infrastructure!Working with Decos Audiology Workstation offers:
- Higher productivity due to faster measurements …time savings of 30 to 50%;
- Greater reliability based on automatic calculations;
- Complete integration with HIS, EMR and NOAH3;
- Highly accessible patient data thanks to the open database;
- The possibility of easily distributing and putting self-developed tests into operation;
Simple options for expansion with new modules.
Decos Audiology Workstation has the standard basic modules tone audiometry, speech audiometry and the Weber test. The system can be expanded with a variety of modules.

Tone audiometry
The tone audiometer can be used to compile audiograms on frequencies ranging from 125 Hz to 8 kHz. The audiometer supports all standard conductors, including headsets, insert telephones, bone conductors and free field speakers.
Speech audiometry
With this module you can present standard word lists and quickly measure your patient's word understanding skills. The voice stimuli can be offered to each ear at various intensities.
Weber test
This test can be used as a fast indication for further measurements or as a check of the tone audiogram. The measurement is taken with a bone conductor, which is placed on the forehead of the patient.
Visual Reinforcement Audiometry (VRA)
This module offers an advanced reward system for free field children's audiometry. The VRA is equipped with a free field setup with two speakers and two screens that display pictures and films as rewards.
QuickSIN
QuickSIN is the most widely used speech-in-noise test that quickly and easily measures the ability to hear in noise. With this module, a one-minute estimate of SNR (signal-to-noise ratio) loss can be provided More info on QuickSIN...
High-Frequency Pure-Tone Audiometry
This module allows you to measure a range from 8 kHz to up to 20 kHz. The setup and controls are virtually identical to the tone audiometry module, which makes the control simple and intuitive. More info on HFPTA...
Import tympanometry
This module allows you to add tympanograms and reflex measurements to your patients' records. For several types of tympanometers you can import the measurements directly into Decos Audiology Workstation. More info on Import Tympanometry...
ABLB Test
During the Alternate Binaural Loudness Balancing Test or Fowler test a tone is alternately played back to the left and the right ear. The patient indicates when the left and right tones sound similarly loud.
Tinnitus Test
This module can be used to acquire a clearer picture of tinnitus in a patient. You can provide a stimulus through the headphones to determine the character and loudness of the sound observed.
Tone Decay Test
With this test it is possible to determine to what degree a tone remains audible for the patient if offered over a longer length of time. The period over which the patient was able to hear the tone is displayed in a clear overview.
Directional Hearing Test
This module offers you a total solution for taking directional hearing tests. The Decos Sound Arch consists of 13 active speakers and a Control Box that allows you to control each speaker separately.
Developing your own tests
In addition to the large number of measurement modules offered by the Decos software, you can add your own tests to the system. Use the included Application Programming Interface to easily develop your own measurement modules and test them on the Decos Audiology Workstation hardware.
