Specialty was founded in 2006 and is owned jointly by Brad Storck and Jim Bremer. Specialty serves the Midwest States of Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, North & South Dakota, Nebraska and Northern Illinois. Specialty is also one of the founders of the Special Instrument Advantage Group, a National Organization of Special Instrument Distributors dedicated to meeting the needs of their customers trough quality service, technology, and products.

Brad Storck, CEO & Partner
Brad has over 20 years of experience in the Hearing Industry. Brad is a graduate of Northwestern Electronics Institute and is certified by NASED, The National Association of Special Equipment Distributors. Brad has also been factory trained by various instrument manufacturers. Brad established his own company seven years ago which has evolved into Specialty Instruments. Brad felt it was important to give the industry another choice based on value and integrity at a reasonable cost.
James P. Bremer, VP Operations & Partner
Jim has over 40 years in the hearing industry. Jim holds a BA Degree in Economics at the University of Minnesota, and Mini MBA in Leading Growing Companies at St Thomas Institute for Strategic Management.
Jim previously worked for Starkey Labs, a major hearing aid manufacturer, as VP of Administrative Services for almost 30 years. Among many accomplishments, he established a private label credit card, a captive leasing company, and warranty service program, while managing the customer service side of finance. Jim also owns his own consulting company and has worked with a number companies within the hearing industry.
John A. Coverstone, AuD, Consulting Audiologist
John has over 16 years of experience in the Hearing Industry and is President & CEO of Sentient Healthcare, Inc. John has a Bachelor of Science in Speech & Hearing Science from Portland State University, A Masters of Science in Audiology from Portland State University, and an Doctor of Audiology from PCO School of Audiology. John has worked for a major hearing aid manufacturer, a major audiology equipment distributor, as well as in his own audiology clinic.
David Brewer, Sales & Service
A self-described professional problem solver, David Brewer comes to Specialty Instruments with extensive experience in the hearing industry. He served for over seven years in the U.S. Navy, as a Data Systems Technician and Electronics Technician, while being stationed in various locations, including Spain and Hawaii. Having been in and around the hearing industry since his Navy days, David has held such key roles as Field Calibration Technician, Service Director, Technical Support Representative, Manufacturing Engineer, OEM Product Development Manager and Sound Quality Consultant. He is especially known for his pioneering work in developing the first sound booth jack panel assemblies with gold-plated jacks. In addition, he is a member of Working Group S3/WG35, Audiometers, which assists Accredited Standards Committee S3, Bioacoustics, in the development of ANSI S3.6, Specification for Audiometers.
